  • Fatherhood

I have been feeling an amazing closeness with my boys lately.  I am excited about that.  They are coming into their own.  After a walk around the neighborhood with the boys, Eli asked me if he could play T-ball with some seriousness finally.  As I was teaching Eli T-ball, it all hit me.  I am finally a dad.  Not that I wasn't before, but now I am "that" guy in the park teaching his son to hit the ball until dark.  Which is awesome.  Fatherhood is the most blessed gift that we are given; I can not imagine that ever being taken away.

Below are some pics from New York, Crayola Factory and Easter.

  • Zephyr

    Kawasaki : Zephyr

She is craving and missing it!  Kel sold it a few years ago when Eli was born and the itch is back.  Be on the look out.  I think it would be great if we can find her 750 Zephyr again.  There has to be some out there.  If I could find it before summer that would be great.  Let me know if you see anything.

    Also,

With the recent unfortunate events of a classmate getting senselessly murdered, I have been thinking a lot about where the road of life takes each of us.  Do we control the flow of our lives or is life controlling us?  Every part of me wants to retire now so that I can spend more time with my wife and watching my boys grow up.  I can always dive into work again when I am 45, right?  I think it is unfortunate that we let life take us over so easily that we let time pass so quickly.  I am really trying to work on this and looking forward to getting better.

"Seize the day, Seize whatever you can, life slips away just like hour glass sand....."

    Lastly,

Doesn't it seem much more quiet at 11:00 at night when the snow is falling then in the summer?  Why is that?
